TGEM Becomes General Sponsor of UNICEF’s First Charity Gala Dinner in Tajikistan

On June 12, Dushanbe hosted UNICEF’s first charity gala dinner in Tajikistan — a large-scale event that brought together representatives of business, international organizations, the diplomatic corps and the public around a shared goal: supporting children with developmental needs and creating new Early Intervention Centres across the country.

TGEM acted as the general sponsor of the event, reaffirming its commitment to the principles of social responsibility and sustainable development.

The main purpose of the charity evening was to raise funds for the development of early intervention services for children with developmental disabilities or those at risk of developmental delays. As a result of the event, more than 3.6 million somoni was mobilized, which will make it possible to open 26 new Early Intervention Centres in various regions of Tajikistan. The funds were raised through sponsorship support, a charity auction, ticket sales and voluntary donations from participants.

For TGEM, participation in this initiative became a natural continuation of the company’s policy aimed at supporting projects that contribute to improving the quality of life of the population and creating equal opportunities for future generations.

On behalf of the company, Financial Director Elena Viktorovna Zaibert addressed the event.

According to her, supporting children and developing accessible social services are important areas of the company’s corporate social responsibility.

“We believe that investing in children means investing in the future of our country.”

“Every child has the right to grow, develop and realize their abilities, regardless of life circumstances and developmental needs.”

Elena Zaibert also expressed her gratitude to the organizers of the event and to all participants who supported the initiative to develop the early childhood support system in Tajikistan.

UNICEF implements early intervention programmes for young children, helping to identify developmental needs in a timely manner, provide the necessary support to families and create conditions for the full integration of children into society. According to the organization, early support plays a key role in a child’s further development and in improving the quality of life of the family.

Building a more inclusive environment in which every child can realize their potential is an important task for society as a whole. TGEM supports an approach based on cooperation between the state, international organizations and business, which makes it possible to achieve meaningful social results and change people’s lives for the better.
