Official Launch of the Sebzor HPP

TGEM, a leading contractor in the field of hydropower construction, proudly announces the successful completion of all works on the Sebzor Hydropower Plant, located in the Roshtqala district of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. The official inauguration of the facility was held with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Emomali Rahmon.

The Sebzor HPP is equipped with three modern turbine units, with a total installed capacity of 11 megawatts, enabling the annual generation of over 77.6 million kWh of clean, renewable electricity. Thanks to advanced technologies, the station operates in an automated mode, meeting high standards of reliability and energy efficiency.

The project was implemented with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, aiming to attract foreign investment and introduce cutting-edge solutions in the field of green energy. The station will provide over 220,000 residents of the region with stable electricity, laying a solid foundation for socio-economic development.

Notably, 97% of the work was carried out by local specialists and contractors, creating up to 600 jobs during the construction phase. Today, the facility employs 20 qualified professionals on a permanent basis.

Sebzor HPP is integrated into the national grid via a 110 kV substation and an 18 km power transmission line “Sebzor – Khorog”, ensuring both domestic supply and potential for electricity export.

This project forms part of the National Green Economy Strategy for 2023–2037 and stands as a clear example of sustainable development, investment attractiveness, and responsible resource management.
